Foreknown

This is how God is speaking to me today:

1 peter 1:20 “For he was foreknown before the foundation of the world but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you.”

Jesus Christ, the perfect spotless lamb of God, the salvation and Love of God was foreknown. Jesus, Yeshua, his Name means salvation. Salvation existed before the world was formed, before light and darkness separated, before one shrub sprouted, before dust and time and heaven were stretched out and earth filled with life. Salvation was there with God. His purpose known, his plan understood and accounted for, accepted- for us. He was there. He was known. He was ready to reveal himself, and to appear again and again in small measures throughout history; a light, a messenger, an angel, a seed, a word, a man.

The love and salvation of God would be crushed in the last times. The love and salvation of the Father darkened, ended, stopped halted, he knew this, he saw this, he planned for this moment, when salvation would be unreachable for three days. And then…the love and salvation of God broke through the power of death. Death, the greatest force on earth was broken through, was breached, was ripped apart like an old weak garment and he did it to find us and bring us home. This is why he existed before time. No wonder his blood cleanses, no wonder his name is powerful, no wonder he can heal every disease. No wonder why we are chosen to obey Him,  the Salvation of God, existed before the foundation of the earth was laid, before one star put in the heavens, before one grain of sand was washed away by a tide, before one man breathed the breath of life, before one act of obedience or defiance was accomplished.

Our sins, every evil and wicked act, every death and disease, every captive, every wrong committed every rejection of God, every curse spoken, every rebellion embraced, was not only foreknown but planned for, seen and understood fully when the spirit of God hovered and spoke, let there be light.  This same light and salvation were willing to bring life to the world, though the world would kill it, darken it, hate it. He was love; He was salvation for the world. God had the solution and sent it forth, before the problem arose. There was never a moment in all eternity our mighty God didn’t have a plan of salvation and love for you and me. Never for a moment where we were doomed or abandoned or God stumped as to what to do with our hard hearts. When Adam took his first bite of that delicious rebellion before it reached the back of his throat, salvation stood up, love arose – Salvation’s gaze fixed upon me and you and the cross embraced with hands reached out one toward the Father and one toward us.
